Possible infection: Must rule out infection from tooth or gum as well as cyst or underlying mass in gum. Needs to see a dentist or ENT doctor right away.

GET X-RAY: An infected tooth or gum disease is possible. A canker sore wouldn't last three weeks. See a dentist asap.

Gum blister: Most probably an abscessed baby tooth, but can also be a gum infection. Although you did not report your son's age, or the location of the "blister," your son should have been seeing a Dentist since age one. Please take him to that Dentist immediately. If he has not seen a Dentist routinely, pleas see a pediatric dental specialist, a Pedodontist. The infection must be treated.
