A member asked:

If you have a lab result ... csf segs 42% (ref range 0-2), what does that indicate typically? (note: yes, that is forty two percent?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

? correlation: Taking this totally out of context, there is but one lab test reported. If segs are elevated with high protein, elevated WBC's, and low glucose, would likely be sign of infection. BUT if your percent is sole finding, it is not feasible to draw any diagnostic conclusions. Also, not clear what clinical problem has occurred to prompt spinal tap.
