Tylenol and saline: Your best friends will be Tylenol and nasal saline. Make sure your daily intake of acetaminophen does not exceed 4000mg. DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS! Use a humidifier and local saline rinses or spray to clear congestion. Cough medications are generally ineffective, so don't waste your money! Rest, isolate yourself. If you ABSOLUTELY MUST go out, wear a mask - this is where they are effective!

Recovery: Rest, hydrate, quarantine & eat healthfully. Consider use of acetaminophen, saline for nasal irrigation, decongestant or cough syrup. Get urgent care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or face, marked persistent chest pain/ pressure or new onset confusion.
