Identified are multiple small mostly subcortical white matter lesions of increased flair signal. the largest is in the insular region measuring 4 mm. i had an mri. never got a straight answer on what this means?

Comments: Not clear why you had MRI, but findings appear nonspecific. This could be a consequence of prior head injury, microvascular angiopathy of aging, smoking, hypertension, high blood lipids, certain medications, etc. Do heed advice to talk to your doctors directly, as that is most reassuring.
