Mri says: slight increase in number of subcentimeter scattered subcortical & deep white matter increased t2/flair lesions likely representing chronic small vessel ischemia. i take xarelto due to previous results. what more should i know?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

General health: Xarelto is pretty effective in preventing strokes but “mini strokes” that cause these little areas can still occur. If you have high blood pressure it must be controlled; definitely do NOT smoke; get regular aerobic exercise; eat a diet high in antioxidants (fruits & vegetables especially) & keep brain exercising with reading/word puzzles/Sodoku/bridge/etc
