My son walks in an odd way,the dr requested hip x-ray .is this normal level of radiation exposure to a ten year old or is it too much ? how much is the radiation dose for 2 front and back hip x-ray?what is the limit of radiation allowed for a child ?

Diagnostic Radiation: Diagnostic radiation is usually a very low dose and is needed for images so your son's physician can determine what ails him. It is quite understandable that you are concerned, but without radiographs a diagnosis may not be possible. Risks are low but they outweigh foregoing treatment.
