Stomatitis: You describe this as being on her soft palate, not on her gums. I doubt a dentist will be very helpful if not involving her gums, and then may only be minimally helpful. Your pediatrician should look at these sores, perhaps do a strep test. Then will discuss possible treatment/symptom relief. Most of the time these are viral in nature and will just run their course and clear up.
