A member asked:

Why would my tongue be sore on the edges and tip and suddenly very sensitive to spicy food, alcohol and carbonated drinks? has been for 4 days. palate also sensitive. no obvious sores or redness.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tongue sensitivity: Allergy, change in foods/spices, change in meds, change in supplements, neurologic disorder, burn, lots of other reasons. Avoid trigger foods for 2 weeks. If not completely gone at the end of 2 weeks from onset, see your Dentist.
