I wasnt near a toilet for 3 hours so had to resist urge to go. when i came to going, bowel movement extremely painful and hard to pass felt like blockage up in rectum. can resisting urge to poop cause colon or bowel cancer?

Resisting urge: Some believe that more prolonged time for fecal matter to stay in the rectum on a chronic basis may be a potential cause of rectal cancer. However I wouldn't be concerned about an occasional resisting the urge to be a precancerous factor.
