Cast or brace: Typically these are treated in a cast or brace for several weeks depending on severity.

See a physician.: You should consult your physician and get x-ray done. Your symptoms are probably caused due an ankle sprain. Your physician can prescribe you some nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication and and or physical therapy if there's no fracture which will help to alleviate your pain and walk normally.
