I went for a covid test today. i have severe flu like symptoms. do i wait for the results or see my gp for antibiotics in the meantime?

Flu like symptoms: Flu like symptoms usually mean flu or covid-19. Would recommend getting tested for flu as well and if positive can be treated with antivirals. No antibiotics are recommended for either one. Use acetaminophen for pain and fevers, stay hydrated with water and rest. Quarantine measures.

Inform doc : Do inform your doc, so that he or she can provide further directions. You should be in quarantine otherwise regardless. If significant symptoms, go to closest ER.
