I'm a dog groomer, and i was bit by a dog friday morning. went immediately to the er, got stitches, tetanus shot, and antibiotics. i'm on the path to recovery (see images) and i wanted to know what day next week should i go and get the stitches out?

Location/wound: It depends on the location of the wound/stitches. Please check with the ER and see the discharge paperwork. At minimum usually 5-7 days. Keep the wound clean and dry and follow Emergency room instructions. Watch for fever, drainage and redness.

Discharge notes: Clear instructions should be in the ER discharge note and they include details about when to have stitches removed and general wound care recommendations. Some stitches are resorbable and do not need to be removed.
