I have had 2 abnormal pap with ascus hpv positive e6/e7(may 2019 and may 2020). i havent had sex since the diagnosis but i just started dating someone and i want to make sure i am safe. what should i do? i did receive the vaccine as a teen. 25 now?

Protection: There really are only 2 ways you can be assured you are not passing on the HPV to someone - abstinence or use of a condom. There is no good way to know if you are actively shedding virus, as most people are asymptomatic with the virus. Use a condom for optimal reassurance.

ASCUS and HPV: Follow up regularly with your GYN and continue regular Pap smears as s/he recommends. This is the best way to monitor for any changes. To protect your partner, be sure to use a condom with each intercourse. Good luck.
