ASCUS: Ascus is not usually serious. It is just a red flag that your physician needs to do a repeat follow up test sooner than usual. It is also unusual, now a days, to not offer the hpv hybrid test with the pap smear. You should clarify with your physician why this vital test was not offered to you.
