My son got a decent cut on some metal. he's 6 years old and his last shot was in june 2019 of dtap. i do believe it was his 5th shot of it. is he protected? or should i be worried? i cleaned the cut w/ alcohol pad and neosporin and a band aid?

Wound care: Please see the Pediatric urgent care center. The wound should be examined, irrigated and a dressing applied. He may need antibiotics.

Is protected: He is well protected against tetanus - thanks for getting his immunizations done on time. I would just monitor and keep clean and dry. If develops redness or pus drainage, then get it evaluated, but no need to spend that money now.
