YES!!! many benefits: Dark chocolate contains polyphenols and other flavonoids, procyanidans & antioxidants. It also contains mood-enhancing chemicals like phenylethylamine, theobromine, serotonin & anandamide. It lowers systolic blood pressure an average of 5 points & diastolic 3 points & lowers LDL cholesterol by up to 10%.Even LDL cholesterol is only dangerous when it is oxidized & chocolate prevents this.See comment:.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.

Cocoa also is a natural blood thinner, reducing platelet aggregation. Cocoa also reduces insulin resistance, thus reducing risk of diabetes, obesity & inflammation. But chocolate has sugar which is best avoided. Studies show that to get health benefits it should have at least 70% cocoa solids- the darker the better.
