Use drops instead: At this age, a toddler may reject food that is sprinkled with supplements. Try Reuterina drops instead. They are formulated for infants and toddlers. Probiotics may have a very positive effect on gut flora in toddlers and should be used in conjunction with a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and protein.

May crush: Reuterina chewable tablets may be crushed and sprinkled, but the drugmaker recommends avoiding adding it to hot food or drink because heat kills the probiotic organisms. Reuterina also exists in drop form, which may make it even easier.
