Probiotics are just seed colonies of safe germs known not to cause disease in the GI tract. When taken they can introduce these colonies that grow and crowd out germs or yeast that may be harmful. Taking them after a round of antibiotics that can kill off some good gut germs is reasonable. Taking them all the time may or may not give any boost to anything.

There is lack of objective evidence supporting any positive health effects from so-called probiotics. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get Flu and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
