Attention issue: It is very important that you consult a pediatrician who has experience in treating young children with attention deficit issues. The selection of a medication as well as the dosage of the medicine is extremely important and dependent on the pediatrician's evaluation of the child.

Caution : Would recommend caution in having him treated without his pediatrician or GP opinion. Many times proper counseling suffices, addition of medicine should be carefully weighed in and goals of treatment should be clear.

Look Out!: Mentat is a dietary supplement that variously contains 16 biologically active substances, and Winter Cherry. There is no scientific rationale for this combination and no pharmacologist could sort out the the good or bad effects and drug interactions for this many ingredients but a multitude have been reported. In "Dune" a sci fi novel, a "mentat" took a special herb to enhance psychic abilities.
