Should be fine: Hiprex should not cause acid reflux typically, in some people it can cause nausea or upset stomach. If after taking it for a few days you do notice any worsening of acid reflux then stop it and it should resolve but it should be safe.

I take famotidine to reduce acid as I have Barretts. I also get UTIs. I believe that Hiprex makes the urine more acidic. Can Hiprex make Barretts worse by introducing more acid into my system as they are both pills which go via the oesophegus?
Is 60mg Famotidine a day safe ie 40mg am and 20mg pm. If so, is it better to take the 40mg at night or morning? I take it in the morning as food eaten during the day and at night I also add Gaviscon advance. Whats your opinion?
Is Famotidine 20mg plus Gaviscon Advance suitable for Barretts?
It hurts to eat or drink anything. I have severe gas and indigestion in my upper chest. Constant burning and more severe when i eat or drink any thing. Pain is 8 on (1-10) scale. Gaviscon and Pepcid (famotidine) are giving minimal temporary relief.
