Over time it: may be hard to get off of PPi's but are required for symptom control once failed at maximum dose H2 blockers. After controlled for 1 month(no sx.) try to switch back to H2's. C how long ur good.

I had reflux esophagitis was given PPI in AM and pepcid ac in PM. To taper off the GI has me dropping pepcid. I want off PPI, so can I start with dropping PPI every other day, while still on PePcid at night? Maybe pepcid on the days I dont take PPI?
I have reflux esophogitis. I was told to take ppi and Pepcid ac both once a day. After about five weeks, my Dr took me off of Pepcid ac. I have had very mild reflux symptoms. Not very noticeable but still was wondering why? I am still on the ppi?
