RUQ: Discomfort in the right upper abdomen isn't characteristic of an inflamed pancreas but can be caused by gall bladder or liver inflammation. I would expect associated tenderness with an inflamed gall bladder. Did you have gall stones on ultrasound? Elevation of serum amylase and lipase occur with pancreatic inflammation. See MD if discomfort persists.
