Why are my monocytes elevated on my lab results ?

Multiple causes : Monocyte elevation usually means that your body is fighting a chronic inflammation, We see it with viral infections,infectious mono, parasitic infections , fungal infections, tuberculosis , as well as autoimmune diseases, and sometimes with malignancies like leukemia . Since this is a broad spectrum , one needs to be evaluated to pinpoint the cause and get treatment as needed.
