May be normal result: Monocytes are a subtype of white blood cells. While the usual range of values applies to most, some people may fall outside it normally because of their own unique biology. Significant increases may be caused by leukemia, parasitic infections, tuberculosis, and viral infections. The best interpretation will come from your doctor, who is also familiar with the rest of your medical history.
