A member asked:

Cbc complete blood count lab. all results normal except monocyte % was 15%. absolute monocyte was normal at 0.6. is the high monocyte % a problem?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your results are not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!

No, percentage is relative to the total number of leukocytes and the absolute value is always considered in decisions. Yours is normal, for dynamics has to be compared with previous values.
