I had an egd were gastritis was found, although no clear cause other than an h. pylori infection that was treated about two months earlier. i have indigestion that comes and goes. ive been taking famotidine for a week. how long till i feel better?

Gastritis: If the degree of inflammation of your stomach lining is severe, I feel it will take much longer than a week for healing. Be sure to avoid alcohol, caffeine,nicotine, aspirin, anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or naproxen as well as very spicy, fried or greasy foods. Your gastroenterologist can advise you best.
