A member asked:

I had xrays and ct scan and doctors/denti insist no fracture.there is some serious asymmetry, my mouth opens considerably wider on left side. this is visible in slanted chin and also on the various teeth visible on both sides.what could cause this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

TMJ: The tempo mandibular joint allows the jaw to open and close. If asymmetric, see a dentist to help, correct. There is a disc in the joint complex which could be dislodged by trauma (no fracture). MRI of the disc can show if this is the problem. Good luck
