See your Dr: It is not normal for children to experience foot or lower limb pain. There are many conditions that cause foot pain that can easily be treated once Diagnosed. These include flat feet, heel spurs/inflammation, calluses, growths, infection, in toeing and strains. Take him to see your PCP for a thorough exam and diagnosis so that the problem will not lead to long term problems.

Many things: Plantar fasciitis is common among many other possibilities. Wearing proper shoes is critical in general. Starting with his pediatrician for an exam would be best. Shoe size may change fast and that is why properly fitting shoes frequently is needed.
