Starting foods: The best way to introduce baby to foods other than breastmilk is to start with rice cereal made with breastmilk. This will help baby to learn how to take food from a spoon, hold food in her mouth and swallow. After one week, try mixing in pureed sweet potato and other vegetables. One new food per week (pureed only). Don't start chunky or solid food until she is about 11 months old.
