I have a inflamed papillae under my tounge (bb size) been that way for about a month or so what can be the cause of this?can it be a cancer of some sort or just irritation from smoking cannabis?or is it normal?

Papillae: I believe that taste buds or papillae are only located on the top surface of the tongue. You may have a cyst or salivary gland duct lump. An Otolaryngologist or oral surgeon can examine and advise you best.
