Yes, however...: It is possible to get tongue cancer even if you have never smoked (though smoking does increase the risk) so having smoked only a month does not mean this is impossible. However, a white spot on your tongue is not necessarily cancer- it may turn out to be nothing serious at all. But because tongue cancer is serious & best treated as soon as possible i advise you see a doctor soon to evaluate it.

Unlikely: 1 month of smoking probably will not cause tongue cancer. Usually you will have to smoke many years. However, have the white spot looked at by your dentist.
