A member asked:

I had an iv in my elbow for about two continuous days. now that it's out, the elbow is extremely sore and hard to move. i also had an iv in my other elbow but that one is fine. the one in pain had iv fluids through it, the other was for blood work?

Should resolve soon: Any time you disrupt body tissues some trauma occurs, clearly the one IV with fluids running had caused more disruption, maybe some leakage of IV fluids into the area. It is common with disruption that the body take time to absorb and reorganize those tissues, would not expect any long lasting effects, sort of like a bruise, which can take some time to completely dissipate.
