I would be concerned if there is redness, swelling or marked tenderness at the site of needle insertion. If this area shows redness and swelling, you should see your doctor to make sure that you do not have local infection(cellulitis) which may require antibiotics to control it.

You should contact the site where blood was drawn. You may bled into your tissues. Examination is warranted to rule out nerve damage. Wish you good health!
