It happens: I have pulled out food, beads, paper & other foreign objects from ears. If the kid cooperates you can sometimes do it at home but often it takes someone with the tools & skill to do so.Sometimes they must be sedated to remove these if they can't be still.

Hello. I am a 37 year old woman. A few days ago I found a swollen bump under my skin on my left cheek near my ear. Over the next three days it spread to behind my ear and down my neck. It seems to be several swollen bumps that are connected and are painful to the touch. My ear doesnt hurt, just the bumps. Otherwise I am a little stuffed up and tired but I feel fine.
