Hello - i had a stool sample taken several months ago for coeliac disease and h pylori. ive just read online that i shouldnt of taken my stool sample off the side of the toilet bowel. my stool sample came back normal. will the results be accurate?

Odd statement: I know of no test for celiac that would be on poop. The ones I do are on blood of from an intestinal biopsy. Cultures for bacteria like h.pylori would be on fresh poop.If anything poop from the toilet would just have extra germ types.

Likely not: There aren't tests for coeliac disease that you do on stool, so whatever they told you the result was just cannot be accurate. As far as the H. pylori, that is to be done on fresh stool sample, so could be affected by scraping sample off of toilet bowl.
