A member asked:

Wondering on what can i do when having a high normal blood sugar around the (fasting)95-98 range? should i worry or is that a normal blood sugar? im 22, no diabetes but i want to become more healthy, so what is an ideal blood sugar range to have?

Diabetes diagnosis: The normal fasting blood sugar is 126. If you have had the specimen drawn at least 8 hours after your last meal with nothing but water to drink, it should be accurate. If a value over 126 is found, I usually repeat the test to verify and then have a face to face discussion about the treatment plan.
