See a dr.: The outer ear canal ends in a sealed off membrane that does not allow fluid to enter the middle ear. if you feel a fullness, or if water entering your outer ear canal causes irritation, you should see a Dr that can examine your outer ear canal, tympanic membrane and check for fluid in the middle ear. Treatment will be based on exam findings.
