I have bad ear ache now for about 4 days. my right side is abit swollen, sore to touch, reddish and pretty painful. do i have to go and see a dr or can u suggest something over the counter i can buy?

Exam needed: Swelling, marked ear tenderness and redness are not present in simple external or middle ear infections and you should be examined by a physician as soon as possible as there is concern about a cellulitis of the ear which requires oral antibiotics and follow-up. In the meantime apply warm moist compresses to the ear.
