every now and again (every other day or so) it feels like something in my upper left abdomen just below my ribs is moving in a way it shouldn't and it makes me cough every time it happens. it also seems to send me into a slight momentary panic?

What can cause a tender sensation and the feeling of something moving around, when I twist in a certain way, in the upper left quadrant of the abdomen? Just under my bottom left rib.

I am experiencing chest pain or discomfort (severity: mild) (time frame: gradual) (side: left) (worsened by: deep breaths, bending forward) (unaffected by: sudden movements, pressing on the chest, exercise) (better by: rest, nsaids (ibuprofen, naproxen, etc.)) (unaffected by: antacid medications, bending forward) (associated with: sharp or stabbing feeling, sensation of tearing pain, sensation of pressure or heaviness) (not associated with: stinging or burning sensation), panic attack, chest pressure or heaviness, chest congestion, and shortness of breath. I am not experiencing heartburn, aching muscles, regurgitation of food or liquid, chills, wheezing, or cough. I do not have the following risk factor(s): cigarette smoking.

Every now & then I get this spasm/quiver feeling in my upper abdomen. Right below rib cage in the dead center above the belly button. Its painless. Dr said its gas related not heart. Last time it happened it lasted longer & caused panic attack?
