My wife brike her arm last saturday and got screws and a plate put in. her hand feels like it is burning and the cast is very loose her doctor is on leave till14 aug and nobody wants to open the cast to see what is goin on. what can we do?

Go to the ER: This sounds like a case for the emergency room. Burning sensation in a recently operated limb can be a sign of infection, nerve problem or worse. At the ER, they can take the cast off, take a look at the incision and do whatever imaging is necessary to determine what is going on and treat it. Including recasting the arm.
