My question is regarding to my wife case, she had an operation of wrist fixation with screws, wire and plate. now she is in a long arm cast and she had a strong shoulder pain, she dont know how to pot her arm in a non-painful position?

Pl go back to the MD who put on the cast ASAP to check for any pressure points or other reasons for pain.

And she can use a sling for comfort. Would recommend following up with the surgeon to discuss discomfort in the shoulder. Depending upon initial evaluation imaging may be necessary to rule out injury to the shoulder.
