Does mortons neuroma cause a cracking sensation in toe. having pain in third toe as well as ball of foot. how is it diagnosed?

The cracking sensation can mean many things including arthritis & joint instability. However, it could also represent Mulders sign which is seen in Morton’s neuroma. There are other clinical signs & symptoms including Sullivan’s sign.The best way to diagnose is with MRI and a well trained musculoskeletal radiologist. I also have success w/ US & I assess for Mulder’s sign under direct visualization
