See urologist: Never assume blood in the urine is just uti. She needs a cystoscopy and kidney imaging to figure out where blood is coming from.

Hopefully infection: Blood in urine needs cystoscopy by urologist in case she has more than an infection specially if she's a smoker. Most common causes of utis before menopause are sex or constipation. She should empty her bladder after sex, if sex related utis continue her dr might prescribe Macrodantin (nitrofurantoin) capsule to be taken after sex. Constipation should respond to diet & laxatives. No thong panties. Shower not bathe.
