I am non diabetic athletic individual with a herniated l4 l5. i have no symptoms all year except the infrequent brief episodes of sciatica. however, when i go for a long walk i get brief paresthesia in my right foot, is this due to my l4 l5 or what?

Herniated:L3-L4&l4-l5 w. 3cm cyst beneath near end of sacrum. So much pain i can't walk, outer thigh&leg&foot are all numb and very cold to touch. How can I not make it worse before seeing neurosurgeon in 1 wk? CAN I make it worse? I'm just scared..?
