A member asked:

I'm having recently tingling in both feet. i'm non diabetic with an l4-l5 disc herniation. should i stop lifting weights? i've been lifting for 3 years

Neurologist: Consult a neurologist for evaluation. I feel that peripheral neuropathy is a more likely cause of your symptoms rather than the disc pathology. Recommended tests may include hgbA1c and vitamin b12 levels, MRI of the LS spine and EMG. I assume alcohol abuse is not a problem in your case. Weight lifting may not be harmful, but wait for the neurological results to get this question answered.
