Agree with Dr.F: There are a small number of people who even after getting infected with SARS CoV-2 do not make detectable antibody. Therefore negative result does not mean that the person did not get infected. A positive result, if confirmed, is more definitive evidence of prior exposure to the virus. Wish you good health!
