My 5 month old son is teething and i'm using prodol to numb his gums. on the prodol leaflet it states that i should only use the prodol for 7 days. is there a reason for this? howcome there's so much meds in the bottle if i'm restricted to 7day usage

Prodol: Not available in US because of side effects. Over use can result in liver damage. OTC meds must be used exactly as per package instructions to reduce risk of medication injury. Sold in a larger bottle because 1) also taken.by adults for oral pain (a better solution. would be to treat the cause rather than the symptom), and 2) the bigger the bottle, the more the manufacturer makes.
