My 18 month old daughter is currently teething and her gums are really red and inflamed. her gums bleeds so much when i brush her teeth. could the teething be the reason to that?

Soft cloth: The gums maybe inflamed, but should not bleed Use a soft cloth to clean her teeth. Obtain an appointment with Pediatric Dentist.

No: Healthy gums do not bleed. Symptoms you describe are disturbing. Possible damage from improper brushing or wrong toothbrush. All children should have 1st Dental Exam no later than 1st b'day. I assume she sees a pediatric medical specialist, a Pediatrician. Recommend you make immediate appointment with a pediatric dental specialist, a Pedodontist.
