Thrombophilia: You need to have a discussion with your child's medical provider about this one. Per one Chinese study: "There is not a clear increased propensity for bleeding among COVID-19 patients with coagulopathy, though data are lacking." V Leiden & COVID-19: COVID-19 is accompanied by increased blood clotting, in some cases quite serious. It makes sense that conditions that independently might raise the risk of clotting, like Leiden V, to raise the chance of serious complications if they acquqire COVID, but no data are available. In general, 14 year olds are at low risk for serious COVID. Discuss with the child's doctor and/or a hematologist.
