Blood clotting complications are fairly common with COVID-19 infection, and Leiden V probably increases that risk. One vaccine (Astra Zeneca) has a small increased risk of thrombotic complications, but few or no reports for others (e.g. Pfizer, Moderna). Your thrombosis tendency is a reason to be vaccinated, not to avoid the vaccine. Check with your personal physician to be sure. Good luck.

I agree with Dr. Handsfield. Clotting disorder is one of major complications of Covid-19 infection so you are at increased risk if you are infected because of positive for Factor V Leiden. Besides that, you are taking Xarelto so you are somewhat protective from the very rare thrombotic adverse effect of Covid-19 vaccine(s).
